Restaurant List

Ryan and I started this a long time ago- a list of all the places we've shared with one another and places we have found together. I wish I kept a journal of all of them, its never too late to start. I don't think I should review food - I am more like a garbage disposal than a critic. But I do love the adventure of trying new things.

Coconuts? After the Sunset Magazine Celebration

May 22 2011 -The Nantucket Restaurant -601 Port St. Crockett, CA 94525 what a location!! by the bridge and across the train tracks. terrible parking lot too. We ordered calamari, clam chowder and calamari steak dinner. I still prefer my calamari appetizer to be rings and tentacles, the chowder was good - more on the potato soup side as far as flavor goes. Although we ate every ounce of our food (most likely because of our hike) I do think I'd give it another try. The wine we tried was $11 for the glass and not very good. But the table bread was yummy which is always a plus.
Another food place checked off the list. Thank you for the food recommendation Mark and Stephanie Beard. We earned this meal after our all day hike up mt tamalpais.
The Nantucket Restaurant
Ryan Beard - Actually it was Mark's mom and stepdad who recommended it. It was defininatley well earned=)
Elisha Q Monaghan - i have a friend who's dad had a boat at that harbor and we were there everyweekend. they used to have great cheesecake....

FRIDAY May 3/6?? Off The Grid in San Francisco at Fort Mason. With Lisa and David, Ryan and myself. Plus a couple friends of theirs whom just made strawberry jelly. Super cold and windy. No coffee sold anywhere around. Best plan of attack is to separate and share. We ate Chicken Tiki Masala Burrito from an indian cart we like at the Eat Real Festival. Also tried the chicken leg. Creme burlee. Cupcakes and ????

April 29. Homeroom in Oakland/Berkeley? With Lisa, Ryan and myself. I ♥ Mac and Cheese. Guilty pleasure of cheese, pasta, beer (well half beer and half lemonade) and a homemade oreo cookie. This is a must try!!
www.sfgate.com - Homeroom: A restaurant that serves only macaroni and cheese? Sounds like a youthful fantasy, but dream no more. This Oakland hot spot does mac and cheese every which way, except from a box.
Lisa Day - Yay!! I'm so glad you guys liked it!! Now all we need is 9 more stamps and the free Mac is ours :)
Teresa Caponio - Don't forget the old school picture. I bet we have some prom ones sitting around.
Ryan Beard - It was good. Definately going back. cant wait for Off the Grid Friday.
Lisa Day - Definitely. We need to dig up a really goofy pic to bring back with us

April 21, 2011 - New Greek Place in Pleasant Hill =( - ordered lamb shermama we thought but ended up receiving a chicken one. While the pickle inside was a nice surprise and the spice gave it a kick. We overall like the food and feel or the Mediterranean in Park In Shop Concord.

April 10-11, 2011 (Mine and Ryans 9th or 1st Anniversary) Girl and the Fig (Sonoma) - Cauliflower Soup, Radishes, Boars Shoulder, Steak, Chocolate covered figs, Chocolate caramel torte.

Breakfast the next day at ???

April 3? 2011 (Christine Stephens Birthday) Brannan's Grill in Calistoga - Cauliflower Soup, Calamari, Mussels, Oysters, Fish and Chip, Double Cut Port Chop, Hanger Steak and Seared Diver Scallops. Frank Family Chardonnay - My mom and dad got at Wine Thieves - I would say it was buttery. Castle di Amorosa Muscat Canelli - Christine's favorite pick while they were wine tasting. Sweet bubbly and easy to drink. Party in your mouth.

March 22?, 2011 (Dublin, Ireland - 1198 Offically Ireland's Oldest Pub) The Brazen Head - Beef and Guniess Stew,

Molloy's

March 6. Santa Cruz Diner as seen on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.- It could have been because we had just gone camping or spent the day at the beach and were really hungry but I was impressed with their Vegetarian Melt Sandwich (Mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and swiss on Rye and their garlic fries)
Monique Marshall - We went there a few weeks ago!! Yummy!!

February 13? 2011 (Early Valentine's Day) Duarte's Tavern in Pescadero - Deep Fried Calamari, Cream of Asparagus Soup, Crab Melt, Deep Fried Sea Scallops and Bread Pudding. I think we also had the house red wine.

Joe's Birthday in Berkeley February 11 at 7:41pm ? Hudson? with Lisa and David, Jenn and Jason, JP, Nowell, Rebecca and Joe, Ryan and I

Johnny Garlics in Roseville? with Kevin Dawson and Jeremy Miller.

Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe in Emeryville

Simply Fondue in Livermore

May 27, 2010 Ryan and I finally got around to trying The Mediterranean (its the greek food place in Park and Shop) authentic greek food and reasonably priced. We tried a Yogurt Mint drink I almost wanted to pour it on top of my pita wrapped lamb sandwich. It was fun and the perfect amount of food after the gym- my favorite part is actually the murals on the walls and bathroom.

Half Moon Bay 5/12/2010 - Sam's Chowder House. Wonderful day at the beach with Anthony, Ryan, Dan and myself - afterwards we tried Sam's Chowder House in Half Moon Bay. Yummy!! I would suggest trying the Organic Ice Cream with Sea Salt and Olive Oil =D
